Thank God For Sex.
A Community Approach to Healing Sexual Shame
The Thank God For Sex Project is a COMMUNITY BUILT website filled with videos and written stories of individuals who’ve experienced religious sexual shame and who later learned that God never intended for them to feel that way. In their own words they tell stories of how, over time, they discovered a new way to relate to their bodies, sexuality and God.
These stories shed light on an array of circumstances; hurtful messages from society, pain from purity-movement churches, shame about bodies, fears of intimacy, abuse, confusion, etc. Most importantly, they show how people figured out a more affirming story about sex and what that story or new belief system is or is becoming.

NAMING THE UNNAMED: STORIES OF FERTILITY STRUGGLE
ONE NIGHT ONLY SEATTLE, WA
April 17, 2016 6 – 9PM SEATTLE
NAKED CITY BREWERY AND PUB
A member of our team, Danae Ashley, partnered with playwright Amanda Aikman to create a verbatim play portraying the struggles of women and men dealing with issues of fertility. Surveys were sent far and wide, and a wide variety of eloquent, heartbreaking, and funny responses poured in. Amanda then put these answers, edited only for length, into a play, written exclusively for Thank God For Sex! The evening will begin with the performance, and then will open up to a multidisciplinary panel after a brief intermission to discuss the many facets of fertility struggles.
You will also have lots of opportunity to win fun swag from the Thank God for Sex Team! Grab your friends and join us for a fun night of great beer, food, questions and conversation!!
